For those who miss having a USB-C port on the latest Raspberry Pi Pico 2 development board, Hellbender has developed a Raspberry Pi RP2350 board which comes with many onboard sensors and peripherals. Hellbender is an electronics design and manufacturing company based in the USA specializing in computer vision solutions.
The new board has 128-Mbit flash memory (RPi Pico 2 has 520KB of on-chip SRAM). The pinout consists of two 23-pin castellated edge connectors, two I2C channels accessible via a QWIIC connector and a 3-pin JST SWD debug connector.
Here are peripherals that come onboard:
- LiPo battery power and charging with 2S to 4S (jumper select) and 10k NTC thermistor support.
- Real Time Clock (RTC)
- 6-axis IMU
- Micro SD card slot
- Temperature, pressure, & relative humidity sensors.
- QWIIC connector
- 2 RGB LEDs addressable by I2C
- U.FL connector to the crystal oscillator
Note that the RTC does not have an onboard battery backup and relies on an external battery. The board also features dedicated pinouts and 3 Molex connectors for interfacing LoRa modules.
